Monique Prater 

Biography

Hi, I’m Monique and I am an Oral Health Therapist at Hunter Dental Group.  

You will usually find me at our Huntlee, Green Hills or Greta practices!  

I graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy from the University of Newcastle with a strong history and passion for dentistry being a qualified dental assistant for 10 years prior to completing my university studies.  

Now on the otherwise on the dental chair (well not quite, as I’m a left-handed practitioner!) I provide dental examinations, check-ups involving taking x-rays, dental hygiene treatment as well as providing dental therapy treatment for patients of all ages. 

I was born and raised in Sydney’s Hills District and moved to regional Tamworth for a while working in the Hospital and travelling rurally to multiple outreach clinics. My partner Cooper and I relocated to the Newcastle area and now call it home. 

Working with Hunter Dental Group is never short of rewarding!  

We have a great fun-loving family vibe. Laughter is always heard in the treatment rooms, hallways and at reception all whilst providing a comprehensive, patient-centred approach to treatment and delivering the utmost quality of care. 

A fun fact about myself is that my sister is also an Oral Health Therapist too!
